    Jinfan AUV is mainly used to verify the function of underwater sonar at present. It realizes the function of sonar carrying and data collecting. It is quite different from traditional AUV in mission tasks. It is highlighted in its wide investigation scope, fast navigation speed, long duration and high reliability requirements.

    Because AUV sails fast and generally operates in the area near the seabed with hilly and uneven terrain, there is a higher requirement for AUV obstacle avoidance ability. The system composed of five single-beam sonars is set up at the stern of Jinfan, which greatly improves the safety of AUV. The main carrier of AUV is designed as a streamlined longitudinal section, which can reduce the navigation resistance as much as possible and prolong the endurance time. According to the hydrodynamic analysis of AUV body with different module structures, the hydrodynamic characteristics of AUV body under variable structure conditions are obtained. On this basis, the linear and control surface structure of AUV body is optimized. The power system adopts a multi-thruster vector propulsion scheme with four thrusters crossed at the stern. Through the joint control of the four thrusters, the maneuverability is enhanced and the control difficulty is reduced. Four fixed rudders with "X" shape are arranged between the four thrusters, which can improve the stability of the system. In addition,Jinfan AUV is equipped with special laying and recycling tools, which can realize direct laying and recycling on the mother ship (no less than small boats).

    Jinfan AUV has wide application prospects in underwater vehicle search and detection with underwater towing array, terrain and geomorphology detection with multi-beam sonar, underwater communication and networking as communication relay platform of underwater networking system, and as an integrated platform for investigation and attack.
