    1 Overview
    UP-13 series photoelectric detector is a kind of optical detection equipment which provides stable optical image by using gyro stabilization technology. The system includes visible light camera, visible light camera and infrared camera. It has the function of isolating carrier motion and keeping the line of sight stable in inertial space. It also has the function of locking and staring observation of ground targets and locking and tracking of dynamic targets. If it cooperates with the corresponding positioning equipment, it also has the function of calculating the target position coordinates. The system can be mounted on various delivery platforms, such as unmanned helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, vehicles and so on. It can be used in pipeline inspection, search and rescue, anti-smuggling, security, environmental monitoring, forest fire prevention and other fields.
    UP-13 series photoelectric detectors also have the following characteristics.

    1 System Composition
    UP-13 series photoelectric detectors are mainly composed of stabilized platform components, infrared thermal imager, visible camera, communication/servo control board.
    The functions of each part are summarized as follows:
    L Stabilization Platform Structure Component: It is a two-axis structure, which contains optical detectors and servo execution components, and connects photoelectric detectors into a whole. The stabilized platform structure component also includes servo execution components, such as gyroscope, angle sensor, motor and so on.
    Infrared Thermal Imager: It is used to search and track targets using infrared images. It has two small and medium field of view for switching. It can output infrared video signal outward, and can switch the field of view, focus, gain and brightness according to the instruction. It can also return to the current working field of view through the communication port.
    Visible light camera: Continuous zoom color visible light camera used to observe objects. It can output visible video signal and realize zooming and focusing functions according to instructions. The angle of view of the current working field can be returned to the outside through the communication port.
    Communication/Servo Control Board: Complete the speed sampling and angular position sampling of the detector relative to the inertial space motion; run the corresponding control algorithm according to the control command to control the stable platform to achieve various movements, including stability, follow-up, automatic tracking, etc. At the same time, the transmission of command communication is completed.
    L Video Tracker: According to the image from the imaging system, the deviation of the target relative to the optical axis is calculated, and the result of the deviation is output to the communication/servo control board to control the detector to point the line of sight at the target all the time. This function is also called gaze function.
    2 Main functions
    UP-13 series photoelectric detectors have the following main functions:
    1) It can provide infrared and visible video images to search and monitor ground, sea and air targets day and night.
    2) It has the function of stabilizing the direction and pitch on the moving carrier.
    3) Manual operation of line-of-sight movement, target locking and automatic tracking;
    4) Automatically searching the area designated by the operator according to the predetermined path;
    5) Maintenance operations such as on-line zero calibration, optical axis cross adjustment and drift correction can be carried out.
