The reliability of water flow indicator is poor; the probability of misoperation is high; the water level signal of high water tank has lag phenomenon; the signal can only be used as an alarm signal. Provisions stipulate that flow switch and pressure switch are used as direct start signal of fire pump. Flow switch is set in a certain range of flow value. When the water level of high water tank falls to a certain pressure, it is assisted by pressure switch to start, which can realize double insurance of direct start pump. Interlocking can also be achieved. In order to reduce misoperation, the flow switch and pressure switch (when the water level in the water tank or the pressure regulator pump can not support the water consumption in fire fighting, when the pressure of the outlet pipe of the high water tank drops down, the pressure switch acts simultaneously) act as a reliable measure to start the pump directly. Flow switch and pressure switch are usually set on the outlet pipe of the high water tank. Flow switch operates first and pressure switch acts later to realize double insurance of direct pump start. Therefore, "Flow control direct fire pump device of high water tank" should be set up.
