    Infrasound method is the most reliable and sensitive pressure pipeline leakage monitoring technology at present. When the pipeline leaks, it will produce a variety of frequencies of acoustic signals. Among them, infrasound wave has the characteristics of long wavelength, low transmission attenuation and strong penetration. It can propagate tens of kilometers or even hundreds of kilometers along the pipeline. Infrasound pipeline leakage monitoring system installs infrasound sensors at selected monitoring locations. Acoustic monitoring terminal (ACU) collects infrasound sensor signals and transmits them to leak monitoring host after time synchronization and signal processing. The leak monitoring host can judge whether the pipeline is leaking in real time. When the pipeline leaks, the leakage location is calculated according to the pipeline topology and the time difference of the ACU sensor receiving infrasound.
