    Natural electric field frequency selection method, referred to as frequency selection method. Based on the difference of electrical properties of underground rocks and ores, it is an alternating current exploration method to study the change of underground geoelectricity by measuring several different frequencies of natural magnetotelluric field (frequency is 0.n-30 kHz). The instrument used in this method is called natural electric field frequency selective geophysical detector.
    This kind of instrument is mainly used for fast searching and evaluating groundwater sources in cities, mountainous areas and plains (e.g. karst water, bedrock fissure water, Quaternary and Tertiary diving). To solve engineering geological problems, such as finding and determining natural or artificial caves (natural caves, earth caves, ancient tombs, air raid shelters, coal mine goafs, water inrush places of coal mines, etc.); finding faults and fractured zones under overburden; evaluating the stability of building foundation; finding and determining underground buried objects (such as water pipes, gas pipes, cast iron). Or cement pipelines, cables; looking for quartz vein or fractured zone type gold deposits. Practice has proved that remarkable geological effects have been achieved in solving the above geological problems.
