Thrane & Thrane EXPLORER 527, a vehicle-borne maritime satellite terminal, can communicate by telephone, fax and high-speed data via satellite in mobile. The automatic tracking antenna is mounted on the top of the vehicle to achieve real mobile communication. EXPLORER 527 is a land-based mobile BGAN system that can be installed on the luggage rack of a vehicle. It consists of a terminal and a tracking antenna. The two parts are connected through a cable and are powered by a 12V/24V battery system. Just turn on the switch and the antenna will lock the BGAN satellite. The system can provide high-speed data connection to your laptop, palm computer or other data devices, and you can also call or receive faxes while the vehicle is moving.
